EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

With a basic degree in Economics from Bombay University, Rakesh holds two PG degrees; an MA in Economics from Bombay University and an M Sc in International Business Economics from the University of Westminster, London. He holds a dual certification from the National Stock Exchange in Capital and Derivative Markets (NCFM) as well as NISM Series 1 certification in currency derivatives from the National Institute of Securities Markets.

Rakesh’s IT competencies include Minitab 14, SPSS 15, E-views, Reliable Falcon and DataStream and Bloomberg Terminals.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Rakesh Nair is currently Research & Investment Manager at Doha Brokerage & Financial Services. At DBFS he is manages a team of managers and research analysts. He is responsible for the development of the research department, conducting research studies and analyses into the equities market and to make recommendations and suggestions to retail clients in the equities segment.

Rakesh has worked earlier as a researcher in the Nottingham, UK facility of Devereaux & Deloitte and in customer service with Sitel India. He has also assisted EDEXCEL in London with examinations and evaluations for A –level Business courses.

In his spare Rakesh is a keen cyclist, having covered more than 10,000 kms till date. He is also a passionate architectural photographer.
