Round 1 Admission Process ends March 31, 2010

Dear Potential Participant of the ASB Community,
You will see that Asian School of Business is different in a variety of ways, right from how we have structured our process to let aspiring professionals join the ASB Community and the flexibility we have built in our programme.
Most B-Schools make their admissions process much more inconvenient than necessary. There may be some justification for every institution to constantly raise the bar with respect to minimum acceptable quality, defined by parameters which have evolved largely to exclude as many as possible, rather than discover the talented. But there is hardly any concern for the unjustifiable inconvenience and pain that the prospective student undergoes. You will find that ASB ‘s approach is refreshingly different. We believe that the challenge of an educational institution lies in adding as much value as possible, to those who have the potential to cope with the course, rather than restrict the education to only the “best”
The philosophy of management today revolves around ensuring that the experience every stakeholder has with the organisation is one of ‘delight’. We, at the Asian School of Business believe that unless the practices of the B-School reflect this philosophy, we will only be producing a generation of managers who are unresponsive to the needs of society. Hence, even our Admissions Process is designed to give the prospective participant in our programmes as pleasant an experience as possible.
We conduct our admission process at a number of convenient locations, and in case none of the dates are convenient to you, we can schedule the admission process to suit your convenience in our campus. Thus, you are not likely to be excluded from the process for reasons of conflict with other events, emergencies etc.
Further, we give you the flexibility to leave the programme at specified stages, provided you have maintained the minimum prescribed academic standards, to pursue an employment opportunity and return to the programme to complete the requirements for graduation.
What makes the practice of management the most exciting of all professions is the fact that not only do new concepts emerge continually but also that older ideas are challenged and discarded at a rate not found in any other field. The challenge in teaching management therefore, is to equip the cadet manager with not only the requisite body of knowledge, but also the ability to critically think through problems as well as opportunities and thus to enable her to effectively innovate.
You will find that my colleagues and I at the Asian School of Business, with the benefit of management education from the best educational institutions and work experience in reputed organizations are not just teachers in the conventional sense. We have chosen to be academics with a passion to share our distilled wisdom and cutting-edge approach to help the aspiring managers, not only to carve a career for themselves but also, to contribute to a sustainable society through the organizations in which they are employed and / or otherwise associated.
I invite you to consider the ASB experience and chart your own direction in life. This website will tell you something about ASB, but do also visit our campus in the lovely environs of Techno Park and talk to our students and faculty to understand how you could benefit from the ASB approach. Do get in touch with our alumni, who can be contacted on request through us to know more about how your life can be transformed.
I wish you the very best for your life and career.
